The forum is nonpartisan and intended to focus on issues of importance to Black, Indigenous and other communities of color, working class communities and migrant communities, said Cindy Gaytan, an organizer with Latinos Unidos Siempre.
She said all candidates running for House districts 19, 20, 21 and 22 were invited, as well as for U.S. Representative in Oregon’s 6th District.
Of those, three Democrats: Virginia Stapleton (HD 21), Lesly Muñoz (HD 22), and Paul Evans (HD 20) are participating.
It will take place Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1-3 p.m. at Willamette University. RSVP here to get the exact location.
Spanish and ASL interpretation will be provided. There will be a live Spanish radio broadcast of the event on Radio Poder 98.3 FM and a livestream in English from CC: Media on YouTube.
