Woman killed, teen injured in collision with dump truck Thursday morning
Police say Jody L. Miehl, 50, was killed in a collision Thursday morning at the intersection of South River Road and South Viewcrest Drive. A 13-year-old passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Woman attacked in west Salem home invasion early Sunday, police say
A woman reported around 3:45 a.m. Sunday that an unknown man had broken into a west Salem home and struck her. Police did not respond to questions Tuesday about whether a suspect had been arrested or if the victim needed medical treatment.
