Botaneity Wines will acquire Stangeland Vineyards, another small family-owned historic vineyard in rural Polk County, north of Salem, according to a news release.

Robert Lauer and Kayla Borgen founded Botaneity in 2022 as a sustainable wine brand, focused on practices like eliminating pesticides and irrigation and reusing wine bottles. The couple moved to Oregon in 2019 and purchased a historic farm property in 2021.

Strangeland was founded in 1978 by Oregon native Larry David Miller, the grandson of Norwegian immigrants. The vineyard is known for its award-winning pinot Nnir and chardonnay wines.

The acquisition means a “reimagined” tasting room at Strangeland, the company said.
