Good morning, Salem.
The Salem theater is holding open auditions for “Footloose: The Musical” starting Saturday.
The musical, based on the 1984 movie, follows a newcomer to a small town that has made dancing illegal. Most roles will require singing and dancing.
Dancing auditions for teens through people age 40 will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at the Pentacle’s downtown rehearsal studio, 197 Liberty St.
Vocal auditions will be from 1-5 p.m. on July 20 at Pentacle Theatre, 324 52nd Ave. N.W., off Highway 22.
The theater asks that actors bring a list of schedule conflicts through Nov. 2, when the performances will end. For more information and a full list of roles and vocal ranges, see the Pentacle’s website.
