The city of Salem is challenging people to get out into parks this week and help scientists by recording observations of plants and wildlife.

It’s part of the City Nature Challenge, a four-day worldwide event where citizens record data using the iNaturalist app to help scientists better understand the natural world around us.

People can venture out themselves and record observations, or participate in scheduled events in Salem parks between Friday, April 26, and Monday, April 29. More information and a full schedule is here.
