Good morning, Salem.
Classes on Saturday, April 20, will be Ukrainian embroidery from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Ukrainian crown making from 2-4 p.m. The following Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a traditional Petrykivka painting class taught by 16-year-old Ukrainian artist Sonia Voloshinov, who has “dedicated time to studying the world of Petrykivka,” according to an event listing.
On Saturday, May 18 at 11 a.m., you can also create your own Motanka doll, a Ukrainian guardian doll and talisman.
The classes accompany the World Beat’s upcoming exhibit “Slava Ukrayini! Stories of the Ukrainian People.” There will be a reception for the exhibit on Friday, May 3 from 6-8 p.m.

The 2024 World Beat Festival will also celebrate Ukraine. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 28 from 5-10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
