We’re in for a rainy, cool weekend – a classic bit of Oregon spring.

It’s also budget season, with both the city and Salem-Keizer School District contemplating major cuts. Leaders of both governments will released proposed budgets in the coming weeks.

Salem also has a task force looking at ways to raise more money to sustain city services. If you’d like to share thoughts with that group, three upcoming town halls will give you a chance to weigh in.

Activists protest in trees, file lawsuit to block old growth logging on federal land
