Good evening, Salem.

Salem Health on Wednesday cut the ribbon on an expanded clinic in Dallas, part of the health care provider’s $25 million expansion of West Valley Hospital.

The building across the street from the hospital provides wound care, anticoagulation, infusion, medication management and outpatient rehabilitation. It’s a $6 million project that’s intended to serve Polk County’s growing population.

“In the last decade, Polk County’s population has grown by nearly 20%, and this growth is only one part of the equation as we consider the ways in which Salem Health must show up for our community,” said Cheryl Nester Wolfe, president and CEO, Salem Health, in a statement.

West Valley is the only hospital in Polk County, and one of two operated by Salem Health. The hospital sees about 27,000 outpatient visits per year.
