Good morning, Salem.

A series of skill-building workshops for high schoolers in the Mid-Willamette Valley is back in Salem next weekend.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The ILEAD Youth Leadership Summit features workshops on topics including personal finances, starting a business, college preparation, healthy lifestyle tips, discovering strengths and interests, and goal setting, according to the city of Salem.

The free event is coordinated by the City of Salem Youth Development Services. It’s open to all high schoolers in Marion, Polk and Linn counties.

The summit will be on Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Knudson Branch of the Boys & Girls Club, located at 1395 Summer St. N.E.

People can register, read workshop descriptions and find transportation information online. Registration closes on Thursday, Feb. 29.
