Good morning, Salem.

The Salem Housing Authority is hosting a free event called “Share the Love,” where people experiencing homelessness can meet service providers who want to help.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Wallace Marine Park, 200 Glen Creek Rd. N.W.

Those who attend can get access to community organizations, services, referrals and cold weather items, as well as enjoy some coffee and food, according to the city of Salem.

People can also get housing assessments for coordinated entry, which links local homeless service providers together through a common database with information about people seeking services and the type of help they need. The data helps identify if someone may be eligible for a specific program, or how vulnerable they are to continued homelessness.
