The Latest Stories For You From Salem Reporter

Good morning, Salem.

At Salem Reporter, we’re constantly assessing our work and what more we can do to serve Salem.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

You see the result of that with our latest new feature: BUILDING SALEM.

Often, we get notes from readers asking about some new building going up or a big change to an existing building. They’re curious – what’s going on?

Managing Editor Rachel Alexander dreamed up how we can answer that question.

Building Salem will focus on one major project at a time. We’ll explain the basics – what’s being built, who’s behind it, and the schedule. When we can, we’ll also tell you why the developer/contractor/builder/company decided the project was what Salem needed.

If something’s going up in your neighborhood, alert us. Send Rachel an email ([email protected]) or just message us on social media.

We can do such work because of a special group of people – our subscribers. Our operation is local, with no big deep-pocketed hedge fund behind us. Our ability to report is because of the faith of those who subscribe to support Salem Reporter.

We have lots of other ideas, but for now we invite you to take a look at the very first Building Salem below.
