The Latest Stories For You From Salem Reporter

Good morning, Salem.
A flood watch remains in effect for Salem and much of western Oregon as rains continue.
“Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop,” the National Weather Service in Portland warned. “If you encounter a flooded road while driving, be sure to turn around and avoid driving through the flooded roadway. Motorists should allow extra time for their commute as ponding on roads will increase the risk of hydroplaning and periods of heavy rain will reduce visibilities.”
We’ll stay alert to conditions in Salem and keep you posted of any hazards or changes in what’s expected.
