Good morning, Salem.

If you live in the Morningside area – or just care about local parks – the city of Salem wants to hear from you about its plans for Fairview Park.

The 26-acre undeveloped park at 2220 Strong Rd. S.E. is planned for redevelopment. Because of all the new houses and apartments built in the area in recent years, park planners want to look again at their development plans and make sure they still fit with the neighborhood.On Saturday, Oct. 21 from 1-4 p.m., people can come to a city event at Fairview Park to learn about the plans and share their thoughts.
