Your Thursday evening update on Salem news

Good evening, Salem.
With fall weather here, the Salem Housing Authority is looking for donations to help unsheltered Salemites. Items will be distributed by SHA’s outreach workers, and be available to Salem police and firefighters to distribute to help people with their immediate needs.
Items needed include warm weather gear and clothing, such as sleeping bags, hats, hand and foot warmers, socks, backpacks, hygiene kits and first aid kits. Donations can be dropped off at the housing authority, 360 Church St S.E., during business hours.
