Good morning, Salem.

Storytellers from Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and Indonesia will speak and sing in Salem tonight for the return of “The Immigrant Story Live,” which celebrates community and connection.

The free event in collaboration with The Conversation Project at Willamette University honors Global Diversity Awareness Month, and guests will share their experience with the social and political challenges of their homelands.

It starts at tonight, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. with a musical performance, and the event goes until 9:30 p.m. It will be in Hudson Hall at the Rogers Music Center at Willamette University, near The Quad at the center of the campus.
