The Latest Stories For You From Salem Reporter

Good morning, Salem.
More than five years after closing its downtown store, Nordstrom is moving into new digs in Salem.
The Seattle-based department store is opening a Nordstrom Rack location at Willamette Town Center, at 827 Lancaster Dr. N.E., next week. The store is scheduled to open Sept. 21, according to a news release from the company.
“Nordstrom Rack recently unveiled a reimagined brand identity inspired by its bold, confident and savvy customer base to further differentiate Nordstrom Rack in a competitive and loud off-price retail market, attract new customers and better connect with existing customers,” the company announcement said.
Meanwhile, the Rivenwood Apartments going up at Northwest Liberty and Center street, where Salem’s original Nordstrom once stood, are due to be completed next year.
