Salem-area teachers can win $1,000 for projects, field trips

Local teachers who want to take on a special project or get new equipment for their classrooms could get help from a local credit union.

The Maps Community Foundation, the charitable arm of Maps Credit Union, has opened applications for its annual teacher grants.
