Salem will again celebrate First Friday on July 1 with a free concert at the amphitheater in Riverfront Park.

Salem alternative rock band Wild Ire will perform starting at 8 p.m. at the Gerry Frank | Salem Rotary Amphitheater. The free event is put on by the city as part of a summer series to test the acoustics of the new venue.

The concert begins after the Salem First Friday Art Walk, a monthly event where downtown businesses host pop-up events, live music, art and more from 5-8 p.m.

Friday’s forecast calls for a warm, partly cloudy day in Salem with a high of 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
