Salem’s emergency manager helps residents prepare for disaster in virtual talks

Salem’s emergency preparedness manager, Greg Walsh, is having free virtual talks about preparing for disasters in the next couple months.

Western University of Health Sciences Lebanon Oregon

The bi-weekly 30-minute talks will touch on power outages, emergency food supply, wildfires and water storage.

The first talk is on Thursday, May 13 at noon and will go over what the city learned from the February ice storm.

Additional talks are scheduled for May 27, June 10, June 24 and July 8.

The series is on Zoom and will also be streamed live on YouTube.
