One dead, another injured after crashing car into tree in east Salem
One person died and another was injured after crashing a car into a tree in east Salem Saturday night, Salem police said in a news release Sunday.
Police responded to a report of shots fired near Northeast Savage Road and Ladd Avenue around 8:15 p.m. and found a car crashed in a tree. Two people were inside, and one was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The other victim was taken to Salem Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Salem Police didn’t identify the occupants of the car.
