Judge orders old Rudy’s Steakhouse to pay the city $90,000

Rudy’s Steakhouse, the former restaurant shuttered by thousands in unpaid rent, and its owner have to pay the city $90,058 under a judgment issued recently by a state judge.

The default ruling came Friday, Feb. 13, in a Marion County Circuit Court case filed by the city of Salem against the defunct downtown restaurant. The city sued Rudy’s Steakhouse LLC and Robert Kunke over $88,969 in unpaid rent and fees.
