The Latest Stories For You From Salem Reporter

Good morning, Salem.
Readers often have the same questions. How did we get here? What’s being done? And how can I help?
On Thursday, Feb. 5, Salem Reporter is putting on a Town Hall at the Elsinore Theatre to answer those questions. We’ll facilitate a discussion with local experts, with probing questions and a focus on solutions. Our panel is:
-Andrea Castañeda, superintendent of the Salem-Keizer School District,
-Dana Nerenberg, director of the Oregon Center for Early Literacy and Learning Success, and
-Jessica DeFrancisco, third-grade teacher at Sumpter Elementary School.
Our aim is to spark civic discussion and engagement around a key issue for Salem. You’ll find more details in the piece below. Get free tickets here.
