After pressure from public safety unions, Nordyke asks council to reconsider police board appointment

Salem City Councilor Vanessa Nordyke said Tuesday that she supports removing a convicted murderer from two city boards, reversing her stance after a pressure campaign from the city’s police and fire unions.
