Teacher grants support 50 school projects, from jazz band to field trips

The South Salem High School teacher learned Dec. 11 she’d be getting $1,000 to purchase more books, materials and tablets to aid in translation for the roughly 50 students she teaches who have recently arrived in the U.S.
