Good morning, Salem.
With the long-planned project now imminent, people are again discussing the idea of a third bridge across the Willamette River – a project Salem city councilors rejected in 2019, ending more than a decade of planning.
The issue was once the most pressing in Salem city politics, though the pandemic and reduced traffic from commuters quelled the discussion for several years.
