Good morning, Salem.

The Salem City Council meets tonight, with a busy agenda on topics including waste management, a proposal for a paved path in Wallace Marine Park and the Salem Police Employees’ Union contract.

Councilors will also consider a motion to develop a policy on accepting donations, and plan to vote on a $20,000 to the Marion Polk Food Share in response to the description of SNAP benefits amid the federal shutdown. November’s benefits were distributed late last week, but next month’s payout remains uncertain.

Here’s the full agenda. We’ll post our regular preview explaining the agenda items later today.
