Earlier today, we published a roundup of volunteer opportunities and other ways to help kids in Salem learn to read.

The Salem Public Library has another offering we wanted to alert you to – “Reading Buddies.” New and emerging readers get a chance to read to a teen volunteer to develop their confidence. The next session is Saturday, Oct. 25, from 2-3:30 p.m. at the children’s corner in the main branch.
