Good evening, Salem.

Three priests asked to perform Elijah Jung’s funeral mass.

It’s an indicator of the impact the 17-year-old West Salem High School student had on those around him. His funeral last week drew more than 300 people, including classmates, family, former teachers and more.

Now, his family wants to honor his legacy by renaming the rural stretch of road where he fatally crashed last month. They also hope to commission a safety study so no one else crashes there.
