Good evening, Salem.
It’s been a good summer for Salem’s collegiate baseball team, the Marion Berries.
Despite having to relocate to Chemeketa Community College after a Willamette University field wasn’t ready in time, the team has had a winning season. They’ll face the Portland Pickles Friday evening at Chemeketa.
If they advance further, future games would be played in Portland. Our story below has more on the season and some reflections from Sprague High School’s Andrew Mhoon, the team’s shortstop.
