Swanson, Gordon take definitive early leads in Polk County commissioner races

UPDATE: This story was updated Wednesday afternoon with the latest election results from Polk County.

Incumbent Jeremy Gordon and John Swanson, a Rickreall resident, are leading initial ballot counts to win the primaries for two of three seats on the Polk County Board of Commissioners, according to Tuesday night election results.

Polk County includes West Salem, Independence, Dallas, Monmouth, Falls City and rural areas west out to Grand Ronde.
