UPDATED: Council unanimously approves downtown police, crisis response, new city manager

Update, Tuesday, Oct. 14:
On Monday, Salem city councilors unanimously voted to permanently appoint Krishna Namburi to the role of city manager, and voted 6-3 to authorize the city to pull together $300,000 over three years to bolster funds raised by the community to subsidize a new commercial airline.
