Officers responded to the hospital around 1:50 p.m., Salem police spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Hardy said. They searched the parking lot for a van, including using a drone, but found nothing matching the description and no evidence of a gun.

Salem Health spokeswoman Lisa Wood said the lockdown began at 2:08 p.m. and was lifted by 2:30 p.m. after police cleared the scene.
