Salem motorcyclist dies in Thursday night crash in Four Corners

A crash Thursday night on Southeast Lancaster Drive left a Salem motorcyclist dead, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Jesse Wadley, 33, was taken to Salem Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
A passenger in a vehicle involved in the crash was also hospitalized. The sheriff’s office provided no details about the passenger’s condition in a news release Friday morning.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to Sgt. Jeremy Schwab, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. No arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Lancaster and Glenwood Drives in Four Corners. Investigators determined that Wadley was driving his motorcycle north on Lancaster at a high speed before the crash, Schwab said.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families affected by this tragic crash,” Schwab said in the statement.
