UPDATE: Salem man gets life in prison for killing estranged wife’s boyfriend

Jose C. Aguilera-Frias was sentenced on Friday to life in prison for intentionally running over and killing Hermilo Mata Jr., 63, the boyfriend of his estranged wife.

Aguilera-Frias, 48, of Salem, must serve 25 years in prison before he can petition the state’s parole board to be considered for release.
