OBITUARY: Frances Eriksen
Frances Gerety Eriksen, 79, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Salem, Oregon. Born in Tampa, Florida, on August 10, 1945, to John Francis Gerety and Mary Ellen, Frances devoted her life to caring for others through her work, family, and community service.
A compassionate and skilled nurse, Frances worked at the Salem Hospital, Salem Clinic, and Regence Blue Cross. Her dedication to healing and helping extended beyond her profession, as she volunteered with organizations including the American Red Cross, Center 50+, Salem Hospital, and the Elsinore Theatre.
Fran was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Eriksen. She is survived by her sons Brian Eriksen (Jackie), James Eriksen, and Curtis Eriksen (Sara), as well as her beloved grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 16 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Salem. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Fran’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. As keeping with true Fran style, we request that you dress in your shiniest, brightest and most glittering fit.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross or First United Methodist Church of Salem in her memory. Fran’s legacy of love and service will never be forgotten.
