Salem man killed in single-vehicle crash on Highway 226
Police arrested a Keizer woman after her passenger was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of a single-car crash Saturday night in Linn County.
Oksana Titarenko, 24, was traveling southbound on Highway 226 near milepost 21 when she drove off onto the right shoulder for unknown reasons.
According to an Oregon State Police statement, Titarenko overcorrected, causing the car to travel across the northbound lane and into the northbound shoulder before it rolled at least twice.
The passenger, Mikhail Ermolenko, 30 of Salem, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Titarenko was found to be under the influence of alcohol when transported to the local hospital as a precaution.
She was arrested and transported to Linn County Jail, state police said.
