Catch Chemeketa artwork in first student show since pandemic

A wide range of art created by Chemeketa Community College students is now on display in the college’s first student art show since the pandemic.
Through June 3, visitors can view the work created by students over the past two years.
Salem artist Joshua Blue juried the show, awarding first, second and third place.
“The artists made this task very difficult. There was so much wonderful work, so many different approaches to making art, and above all an abundance of talent in the room!” Blue wrote on his blog.
The show is displayed in the college’s Gretchen Schuette Art Gallery, located in building 3, room 122 of the Salem campus at 4000 Lancaster Drive N.E.
The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
