Plant lovers can shop thousands of vegetables, perennials, shrubs, herbs and other plants this weekend as the Marion County Master Gardener Association plant sale returns following a two-year hiatus.
The sale takes place at the Oregon State Fairgrounds, 2330 17th St N.E., in Columbia Hall, which is near the red gate entrance off 17th Street Northeast. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, according to a press release.
It’s the primary fundraiser for the association and helps support community outreach and education programs for local gardeners.
More than 10,000 plants will be available, including vines like grapes, native plants and pollinators. Master gardeners will be onsite to answer questions at a plant clinic and near the sale plants.
The sale also offers a free planting service for people who purchase both a pot and a plant at the sale.
Admission and parking are free. For more information, see the Facebook event.
