Catch a Christmas play starting Friday at Willamette

“The Christmas Gift” opens Dec. 10 at Willamette University.

Theatre 33’s new play “The Christmas Gift” debuts Friday at Willamette University.

The play tells the story of Ann, who is fresh off a snowboarding black run and finds herself in a strange place with a curious man pushing a shopping cart.

“Is this a prank, a nightmare, or absolute redemption?” the play asks.

It’s written by Thomas Nabhan, the group’s executive director.

Shows on December 10, 11, 15, 16 and 17 start at 7 p.m. On Sunday Dec. 12, there’s a 2 p.m. matinee. Tickets cost $15.

Theatre 33 is a play development company that exclusively focuses on new plays from Northwest playwrights.
