The city of Salem’s burn ban within city limits will end Oct. 1.

After confirming with the Marion County Fire Defense Board chief, the city said it will lift the ban due to improved weather conditions, according to a Wednesday news release from the city.

“We ask that everyone continues to practice safety when burning anything within city limits,” the news release said.
