Justin Cook, 41, and Cathy Cook, 71, both of Lyons, were found dead in the 32000 block of North Fork Lane in Lyons, near the Elkhorn Valley Golf Course.

The Albany Democrat-Herald first reported the deaths Monday and said Cook worked at numerous restaurants and catering businesses in the Albany and Corvallis area in recent years.

As of Tuesday morning, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said one person remained unaccounted for in the Beachie Creek Fire zone, which covers 190,000 acres and is still actively burning.

The first confirmed fatalities from the fire were Peggy Mosso, 71, and her grandson, Wyatt Tofte, 13, who were found inside a vehicle at their family home on North Fork Lane last week.

Deputies are asking people who want to report a loved one as missing within Marion County to contact our non-emergency dispatch center at 503-588-5032.
