AGENDA: Chemeketa board to hear license exam results, approve grants

Chemeketa Community College’s Board of Education members will learn about the college’s efforts to help students receiving food stamps meet their educational goals before a regular meeting Wednesday evening.

The board will hear a report on license and certificate exams for students in 2018.

Board members will approve new grants, including $471,000 from the U.S. Department of Education to continue a high school equivalency diploma program, and donations to the college.

They will consider minor revisions to college policies on college board member travel reimbursement, the college budget officer, custodian of funds and deposits of funds. They will approve staff and faculty retirements.

The board will hear reports on the college’s budget, enrollment, staff, administration and student association.
