Felicks and Dimitri Marshall get ready to make magnetic slime at the STEAM Stage at the Marion County Fair. The science project was put on by the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation whose mission is to educate and mobilize the community.
The Marion County Fair is back, bringing back its mash of live music, hands-on demonstrations, contests, and agriculture competitions.
Times are Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Day-to-day event schedules and prices can be viewed on the fair’s website.

170 military uniforms of real Oregon men and women who have served are on display at the Marion County Fair on loan from the Uniform Display Museum. The museum works to preserve the military heritage of the state without glorifying it and has collected 1865 displayable uniforms.
