Salem Area Mass Transit District Board of Directors will give the second reading of its proposed ordinance change, which would include a revised fee structure. The board will also take public comment, then deliberate on whether to approve the change.

The ordinance would lower fees for youth riders through new dollars made available by the Oregon Department of Transportation. The last fee change came in 2015.

The board will also vote on several items, including an amended budget and a health insurance contract.

The meeting will also include informational presentations on three quarterly reports and updates from board members on things such as citizen communication.

If you can’t make it to the meeting in person, you can stream it on YouTube or Facebook.

Meeting details: Thursday, Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m., Senator Hearing Room, 555 Court Street N.E., Salem

Board members: Robert Krebs, Steve Evans, Marcia Kelley, Colleen Busch, Kathy Lincoln, Doug Rodgers and Jerry Thompson.
