AGENDA: Polk County Commission to meet in executive session

The Polk County Commission’s agenda for the second week in January is bare, aside from an issue to be discussed in executive session. State law allows governing bodies to meet behind closed doors to discuss things like personnel discipline, hiring or purchase of property.
The Commission also notes its Jan. 22 work session has been canceled because not all commissioners will be available. It’s meeting the following day will be conducted as scheduled.
Meeting details: Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 9 a.m. at the Polk County Courthouse, 850 S Main St., Dallas.
Commission members: Mike Ainsworth, Craig Pope, Lyle Mordhorst.
