Polk County to vote on fair board appointee

The Polk County Commission has a light week this week.
• There will be a vote on appointing Shellie Berry to the Polk County Fair Board. There will not be further discussion before the vote.
• Dean Bender, the county’s director of administrative services, will be recognized for his 15 years with the county.
Meeting details: Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. at the Polk County Courthouse, 850 S Main St., Dallas.
Commission members: Mike Ainsworth, Craig Pope, Lyle Mordhorst.
