Patricia Estrada, 62, was on the shoulder of the Northwest Edgewater Street on-ramp to Salem-Dallas Highway and moved into a van’s path when the driver struck her, police said. Estrada was hospitalized and died 15 days later.

Judith Brunkal, 84, of Salem, was killed in a collision Monday morning while riding in a vehicle that went off-road and collided with a power pole and trees. Brunkal served on the Salem Audubon Society’s board and was a former Woodburn librarian.
