Watch the Oregon National Guard set up a mobile hospital

The Oregon State Fairgrounds can now serve as a temporary medical facility, holding up to 250 people who would otherwise be in hospital beds.

Oregon Army National Guard soldiers set up the Oregon Medical Station on Thursday, March 19. It’s part of a state effort to add 1,000 hospital beds to Oregon’s existing supply. The intent is to move patients who don’t have COVID-19 out of hospitals for recovery to free up beds for those ill with the virus.
