Man accused of attempting to kidnap 3-year-old boy in northeast Salem
A man is facing a criminal charge for the attempted kidnapping of a 3-year-old boy in northeast Salem early Sunday evening.
Lino A. Lopez-Palafox is accused of taking the boy from his father at an apartment complex’s park and trying to leave the area, according to an affidavit by Salem police officer Amy Lull recounting Lopez-Palafox’s arrest.
He is now facing one count of second-degree attempted kidnapping in Marion County Circuit Court, records show.
