“Colorful edibles” display brings costs down, smiles up in Bush Park

Every summer, there’s a large floral display at Bush’s Pasture Park. The annual blooms bring a burst of color to the park for a few months, but are always removed and discarded into waste bins when fall arrives.
This year, things look a little different. Rows of rainbow chard and purple peppers peek up from the patches outside the Bush House Museum, and bright yellow oregano lines the garden beds near the parking lot.
